Do I need to use a base coat before applying Poly Nail Gel?

Yes, it's a must!

Glowtips Poly Nail Gel is formulated to adhere to your nails, but only with the help of a base coat. The base coat will help the gel stick to your nails, making it last longer and wear smoother.

If you purchase our Glowtips Poly Nail Gel Starter Kit, you'll get a base coat included in that package. If not, make sure to use a UV gel polish base coat that will go under the nail lamp cure—other brands might work but we cannot guarantee how long they will last with our Poly Nail Gel.

Please note that traditional air-dry base coat polish will not work with our Poly Nail Gel system.
